Police ID Woman Found Dead On Side Of Road In East Hampton
The woman, 22, was a Pierson graduate and artist who reportedly attended the Pratt Institute.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — Police have identified the woman found dead on the side of the road in East Hampton Thursday as Hallie Ulrich, 22, authorities said.
The young woman was reportedly a graduate of Pierson High School and a talented artist who studied at the Pratt Institute, where she made the dean's list in 2015.
Although police initially reported her as homeless, Ulrich was actually living with a friend, those who knew her said.

Suffolk County Police are investigating Ulrich's death; she was found at 6:30 a.m. on the grassy shoulder of Alewife-Brook Road, north of Terry Road; her death does not appear to be criminal at this time, police said.
Police initially gave a description of Ulrich, including an owl tattoo and another tattoo of two interlock rings on the inside of her upper left arm, to help identify her.

Anyone who may have travelled on Alewife-Brook Road near Terry Road Thurday morning, or anyone with information about Ulrich is asked to call the Suffolk County Homicide Squad at 631-852-6394.
The investigation is continuing.
Her body was not the first found on the East End this week: The body of a man was found washed up in Laurel on Sunday; the man has not yet been identified, police said.
