Police: Man on Parole Arrested After Kicking Cab in East Hampton Village

The arrest was made on Thursday.

An East Hampton man on parole was arrested after kicking a cab in East Hampton Village on Thursday afternoon, according to East Hampton Village Police.

The Lindys cab driver reported that the James Wyeth, 47, an employee with Taxi One, kicked the drivers side door of his cab, causing damage to it, according to police.

The cab driver told police he was having an argument with Wyeth about parking at the train station when the incident occurred, according to the police report.

Lindys Taxi “wishes to pursue charges” against Wyeth, police said.

He was arrested at his home on Nov. 12 for third degree criminal mischief and for violating parole , police said.

Back in August, Wyeth was charged with felony criminal mischief and spent five days in jail after becoming violent with a fellow cab driver, according to police.

The cab driver reported that the he went down to the company station on orders to pick up the van he was driving when Wyeth kicked in the driver’s side quarter panel and tried to pull a gym bag out through the passenger’s window, then threw objects at the victim, including a jar and a credit card reader, according to police.
