Police Seeking Man Who Robbed Riverhead Money Transfer Store
The man robbed the store while displaying a handgun on Sunday, police say.

Police are seeking a man who robbed a Riverhead money transfer store on Sunday afternoon, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Police responded to Damaris Multi Service on 725 East Main Street on a report of a robbery that had reportedly just occurred at about 4:30 p.m., police said.
Responding units were told by employees that a man entered the store, approached the employees and demanded cash while displaying a black handgun, police said.

The man then took an unknown amount of money from the cash register and fled the area on foot, police said
A Riverhead K9 unit responded to the scene and found that the man ran in an eastbound direction along the LIRR tracks to the rear of the apartment complex on 821 East Main Street, according to police.
