Popular East Hampton Restaurant Hires New General Manager

The popular East Hampton restaurant, Nick and Toni’s recently announced that Julie Berger has been hired as general manager as of the 2015 season.

Berger will continue to run the wine program at Nick and Toni’s, while managing the front-of-the-house of the restaurant, located on 136 N. Main Street.

Berger has had many different jobs at the restaurant from coat check to bus girl, to server to sommelier, then wine director.

Before that she worked in California and one at the three-star Michelin restaurant, Jean Georges in New York City.

Most recently she took on the role of wine director of the Honest Man restaurant group, which includes Nick and Toni’s, Rowdy Hall, Townline BBQ, Nick and Toni’s Café and Honest Catering, in 2012.

As the wine director, Berger handled all of the wine purchasing for the restaurants, staff training and development, and profit and loss management.
