Project MOST Executive Director Lauded For Commitment, Dedication

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A woman who has worked tirelessly to serve East Hampton was lauded at a recent town board meeting.

Project MOST Executive Director Rebecca Morgan Taylor was presented with a proclamation at Thursday's meeting, town officials said.

Presented by Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc, the proclamation recognized and honored Morgan Taylor's two decades of service and commitment to the children and families of East Hampton.

The proclamation commended her "passion for education and dedication to her work, which has made her an instrumental member of the community."

In addition, examples of Morgan Taylor's tireless work were noted, including growing Project MOST and providing after-school care for two school districts, classes and programming for toddlers, workshops for adults and weekend and vacation learning labs offering working parents affordable quality care

Under her leadership, Project MOST was able to offer a summer learning program and full-day remote learning support and enrichment during the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting essential workers and the well-being of children who could not attend school in person, the proclamation said.

"I am honored to be presented with this proclamation. I give thanks to Supervisor Van Scoyoc and the rest of the town board for their support and recognition. I have worked with many wonderful children and families through the years and credit my staff who work with the children daily. I look forward to many more years with Project MOST and serving the children of our community," Morgan Taylor said.
