Sag Harbor Motorcyclist Slapped With Felony DWI Charge After Crash: Cops

He had a prior DWI conviction within 10 years, police say.

SAG HARBOR, NY — A Sag Harbor motorcyclist was arrested after driving drunk and crashing, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Daniel Gentile, 29, was arrested on Sept. 5 and charged with DWI: previous conviction of designated offense within 10 years, a felony.

Gentile was driving a 2017 white Kawasaki north on Accabonac Road near Banks Court when he was involved in the crash, police said.

Upon investigation, there was a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, his eyes were bloodshot and glassy, his speech was slurred, and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests, police said.

He was released on his own recognizance, police said.
