Search On For Man Who Assaulted Person In East Hampton: Police

EAST HAMPTON, NY — The search is on for a man who assaulted someone in East Hampton Saturday, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and East Hampton Town Police detectives said they are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the man who assaulted a person in the early morning hours of June 18 near Atwell Street and Muir Boulevard.

The person assaulted sustained serious physical injuries, police said.

The man police are looking for is described as white or Hispanic, in his early 20s, about 5-feet, 8-inches tall and 180 lbs.; he has a distinct tattoo on his left forearm, authorities said.
