Teen Leaves Scene Of Dirt Bike Crash That Injures Passenger: Cops

The passenger was thrown from the back of the dirt bike, police say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY β€” A 17-year old was arrested after leaving the scene of a dirt bike crash that left a passenger injured, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, on Dec. 13 at 4:24 p.m. the teen, who was not identified due to age, fled the scene of the crash at Amagansett Drive West near Queens Lane; the teen was operating a 2017 Honda dirt bike when a rear passenger was ejected, police said.

The passenger sustained injuries abrasions and contusions to the hands, wrists and right hip and was treated at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, police said.

The teen was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, first offense, a misdemeanor, police said.
