Tennessee Walt returns to The East Hampton Library (Live Free Concert)

This year marks the 90th anniversary of the Bristol Sessions, also known as “the Big Bang of Country Music.” No less an authority than Johnny Cash wrote, “These recordings in Bristol in 1927 are the single most important event in the history of country music.” To mark the anniversary, Tennessee Walt returns with “Bristol & Beyond: The Birth of Country Music,” a lecture/concert exploring the Sessions and their legacy, featuring live performances of songs by Jimmie Rodgers, the Carter Family, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson and many more.
