Town Accepts Applications For Grant Funding For Water Quality Projects

The door opened for a second round of applications on Wednesday.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — East Hampton Town is once again accepting applications for water quality improvement projects this year.

This is the second round of applications this year for those seeking funding from the portion of Community Preservation Fund monies earmarked for water quality projects.

The second application window for 2022 opened Wednesday, with proposals due before 4 p.m. on
August 1.

abatement and aquatic habitat restoration, town officials said. Specific information and the complete "Request for Applications" can be found on the town's website here.

The town's water quality technical advisory committee established the biannual process to allow for applicants wishing to obtain grant funding.

Once the application window closes on August 1, all applications received will be reviewed and rated by the committee and recommendations for grant awards will be presented to the town board, officials said.

“The East Hampton town board is encouraging any eligible organization or property owner interested in improving our water quality and protecting our precious lakes, harbors and ponds to apply for this opportunity to fund a specific project,” said East Hampton Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc.
