Town To Award $1.25M In Grants For Water Quality Projects

Total grant funding available for the first round of awards has reached $1.25 million, officials say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — East Hampton Town will be accepting applications for water quality improvement projects grants.

Town officials announced this week that a a request for applications will be issued for interested individuals hoping to apply for grant funding for the projects. The total grant funding available for the first round of awards has reached $1,250,000, officials said.

The town's water quality technical advisory committee established the bi-annual process to allow for applicants outside of town government who want to obtain grant funding for a water quality improvement project to be considered, officials said in a release.

Applications will be accepted from June 14 through August 15 at 4 p.m.. Once the application window closes all applications received will be reviewed and rated by the committee and recommendations for grant awards will be presented to the town board for funding allocations.
