Town To Issue RFPs For Childcare At Montauk Playhouse
The Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk will discontinue childcare services as of May, 2024, town officials say.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — East Hampton Town will soon begin the process of seeking new childcare providers for the Montauk Playhouse, officials said Friday.
After over a decade of serving the Montauk community, the Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, Inc. informed the town of its decision to discontinue childcare services at the Montauk Playhouse, effective May 3, 2024, the town said.
In response, the town will initiate a request for proposal process starting February 1, to identify new operators who can "seamlessly" take over childcare services at Montauk Playhouse, the town said.

The EOC has expressed its commitment to supporting a smooth transition for the selected operator.
