Tragedy in the Hamptons: Man Dies After Being Found Unconscious in Pool: Police
An investigation is ongoing but it's not yet been determined if the man drowned, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY - Despite heroic efforts, an East Hampton man died after being found unconscious in his pool Saturday, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, a call came in at 1:19 p.m. about a possible drowning at the home of Mark Handler.
When police arrived, he was still on the pool steps, because his wife and caretaker were physically unable to move him from the water, authorities said; he was not breathing and had no pulse.

Valiant attempts at CPR were made, and a defibrillator was used; Handler was taken by ambulance to Southampton Hospital, where later died, police said.
East Hampton Village Police Chief Gerard Larson said it was not yet clear if the victim drowned; results of a medical examiner's report are yet to be determined.
