Tree Takes Down Telephone Pole In East Hampton: Highway Supe
BREAKING: Roads are "very treacherous," East Hampton Highway Superintendent Stephen Lynch reports.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — Thursday's blizzard conditions have wrought havoc on the roadways, according to East Hampton Town Highway Superintendent Stephen Lynch.
Lynch reported Thursday afternoon that the "roads are very treacherous," with town highway workers out plowing. "It's going to be a long night, so please stay off the road and let them do their job," he said.
In addition, Lynch said, there's a fallen tree across Hands Creek Road that's taken down a telephone pole, with wires across the street. Once PSEG cuts the power, he said, highway crews will move the tree off the road.
