Woman Airlifted, Man Charged With DWI After East Hampton Crash: Police
The accident took place on Springs Fireplace Road Tuesday, police said.

WAINSCOTT, NY โ A Wainscott man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash Tuesday left his female passenger injured, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, the accident took place at 4:59 p.m. on Springs Fireplace Road near Queens Lane in East Hampton when Angel Tejada, 27, who was driving south in a 2010 Honda Pilot, struck a utility pole.
East Hampton Ambulance personnel responded to the scene, police said.

Tejada was transported to Southampton Hospital with minor injuries, police said. He was later released and charged with DWI and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said. He was taken to police headquarters to await arraignment, police said.
A rear passenger, Caroline Leon, 23, of Fort Pond Boulevard in East Hampton, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for investigation, police said.
