Woman Facing Felony DWI Charge: Police
The woman was caught driving over the double yellow line, police said.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A Georgia woman was slapped with a felony DWI charge after she was caught driving drunk in East Hampton, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, Katherine E. Mahoney, 25, was arrested on Nov. 17 at 2:22 a.m. on Spring Close Highway and charged with driving while intoxicated, previous conviction of designated offense within 10 years, a felony. She was also charged with driving without an interlock device and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
Mahoney was driving a 2014 Hyundai Elantra north when she failed to signal a turn onto Spring Close Highway and failed to maintain her lane of travel by driving over the double yellow line, police said.

Upon investigation, Mahoney had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath, bloodshot, glassy eyes, and poor coordination; she performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests, police said.
She has a prior conviction for driving while intoxicated, first offense, in August, 2015 in East Hampton Town court, police said.

Cash bail was set at $1,500, police said.
