Woman Stands Over Victim With Chef's Knife, Charged With Menacing: Cops

The incident took place at a Montauk campsite, police say.

MONTAUK, NY — A Montauk woman was arrested after she allegedly stood over someone with a chef's knife, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, Patricia Jiminez de Garcia, 34, was arrested on Sept. 19 at 7:41 p.m. on Old Montauk Highway, at a campsite in Montauk, and charged with fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon, intent to use, a misdemeanor, and second degree menacing, weapon, a misdemeanor, after she had a chef's knife in her right hand while standing over the victim.

She was released on her own recognizance, police said.
