Young Girls Invited to 'Examine the Environment'

The Neo-Political Young Cowgirls Workshop will be held Sept. 20 to Oct. 20 in East Hampton.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — Young girls are invited to explore their environments in a new series of workshops at Guild Hall in East Hampton.

Girls 8-12 can join the Neo-Political Young Cowgirls Workshop, offered from Sept. 20 to Oct. 20 at Guild Hall, and explore journaling, physical awareness, theater games, conversation, directing and performing, "to make lemons into lemonade," said Kate Mueth, NPC founder.

"Turning our gaze to the environment, girls will 'up cycle' found, discarded objects from their nature walks into powerful headdresses of art and share their dance theater pieces, pondering how we can make our environment beautiful and healthy," a flyer said.
