3 Arrested for Theft, Harassment and Criminal Possession

Two men and a woman were arrested for petit larceny, aggravated harassment and criminal possession of drugs in Roslyn Heights on Sunday, authorities said.
Nassau detectives say Jay Capodiferro, 29, Roslyn Heights, and Janine Devlin, 29, of Albertson, took assorted pieces of jewelry from a woman while they were in her Roslyn Heights home on the night of Aug. 11.

Capodiferro also harassed and stalked the female victim over a period of time, police said.
On Sunday, Capodiffero tried to sell the jewelry in exchange for drugs to Stephen Devita, 29, of Mineola, but was arrested. At that time, Devita was found to be in possession of stolen jewelry, several opiate pills and approximately 11 grams of heroin, police said.

Some of the jewelry was recovered and returned to the victim, according to police.
Capodiferro is charged with two counts of petit larceny, third-degree stalking and second-degree aggravated harassment. Devlin is charged with petit larceny. Devita is charged with three counts of criminal possession controlled of a substance.
All three were scheduled for arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead. Capodiferro and Devita are to be arraigned Monday. Devlin was released on a desk appearance ticket and will be arraigned on Sept. 2.
