7-Eleven Employee Punched In Uniondale Robbery: Police
The robber stole a bottle of Coke and a sweatshirt, punching a store employee in the eye, police say.
UNIONDALE, NY — A man punched a 7-Eleven employee during a robbery in Uniondale on Thursday morning, Nassau police said.
Officers were called to the 7-Eleven, at 333 Oak Street, around 8:15 a.m., police said. A 41-year-old male employee confronted a male leaving the store without paying for merchandise, causing a fight, police said. The thief dropped the stolen goods, a bottle of Coke and a gray Hofstra sweatshirt, and punched the employee in the left eye, causing a cut, police said.
The robber then picked up the merchandise and ran off, police said. He was last seen walking east on Meadow Street, police said.

A Nassau Police Medic treated the employee at the store, police said. Detectives are looking for the robber and described him as black, 6 feet tall, having a medium build, and wearing a black sweater, red-hooded sweatshirt underneath, and black sweatpants.
Detectives asked anyone with information on the crime to contact the Nassau County Police Crime Stoppers at 1 – 800 – 244 -TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
