Two attackers broke a man's leg while he was walking in Westbury early Tuesday morning, Nassau police said. According to police, the man was walking on Rutland Street at 4:15 a.m. when he was approached from behind by two other men. The two men hit him with a blunt object in the lower right leg and then fled on foot. The man suffered a compound fracture in his leg and was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment. Police say the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this attack is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
