Hofstra Fails to Pick Up First Conference Win, Drops Game at Delaware
Hofstra drops conference matchup to Delaware Blue Hens

The Hofstra Pride failed to connect on a game-tying free throw with just seconds remaining as they dropped their third consecutive conference game, 67-66.
Jamelle Hagins put up 21 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for the Blue Hens (6-7, 2-1) but had a chance to put away Hofstra late and failed. Up by 2 with just a few seconds remaining, Hagins stepped to the free throw stripe with a chance to go up by 4. Just 19 seconds earlier he connected with two makes from the line. This time, he bricked both shots, giving Hofstra a new life.
Things got interesting at the end, however, when Hofstra's Shemiye McLendon drew a foul with only two seconds remaining in the contest. He hit the first one but couldn't connect with the second, causing Hofstra (6-9, 0-3) to drop a tough one in a hostile road environment.

Mike Moore scored a game high 24 points to lead the Pride in scoring. Nathaniel Lester (15) and McLendon (11) were the only other Hofstra players to reach double digit scoring.
The Pride don't have much time to dwell on this loss as they hit the road again on Saturday to take on UNC Wilmington in North Carolina. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
