Coliseum Motor Condemned Due To 'Unsafe, Unsanitary' Conditions
Those residing in the motel were provided other living arrangements by police, the Town of Hempstead said.

EAST MEADOW, NY — The Coliseum Motor Inn In East Meadow has been shut down by town and county officials.
The closure, announced on Tuesday, comes after an inspection by the Town of Hempstead Building Department determined the motel was "unsafe" and had "unsanitary living conditions," Supervisor Don Clavin said in a statement.
Clavin said residents were vacated from the Hempstead Turnpike property and Nassau police brought them to a new living location in Hicksville.
