My children are in the 1st grade. The math is not logical. I worry that our East Meadow kids that ONLY HAD 2 1/2 hrs a day of kindergarten will not be prepared for this new curriculum. Now my children will be the ginnie pigs!!! Time to make East meadow full day kindergarten in order to prepare them for common core. Either that or get rid of it! 8+7= 15. Not 7+7+1!!!! Lets complicate math even more for a 6 year old!
