Cops: Malverne Man Pretended to Be Property Agent, Took $18K from Woman
Police said Gerraud Hill took three payments for a Hempstead property.

A Malverne man faces larceny charges for trying to defraud a Hempstead woman of thousands of dollars, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said Gerraud Hill, 29, pretended to be an agent for a property in Hempstead and took payments from a 62-year-old woman over the course of a week in June. Hill received three payments of $6,000 from the victim between June 3 and June 8, police said.

Hill was being arraigned at Queens Criminal Court on unrelated charges when police charged him with third-degree grand larceny for the Hempstead fraud, cops said. He was arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
