Cops: Safe Stole from East Meadow American Legion

Nassau County Police are searching for information on a break-in at American Legion Hall in East Meadow.

Cops said between 10:30 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, an unknown person or persons broke into the Bellmore Road hall. They left through a front door carrying a safe containing cash, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
