Cops: Woman Caught Using Fake Credit Card

Bronx woman charged after trying to use forged card at Levittown Office Max, cops said.

A Bronx woman faces charges after she tried to use a forged credit card at a Levittown store, according to Nassau County Police.

Store managers at Office Max on Hempstead Turnpike called the police after Patricia Jefferies, 20, tried to use a forged Capital One card, cops said. Jefferies fled the scene but was located by responding officers in her car on Seamans Neck Road, police said.

During the arrest, Jefferies was found with two other forged cards, cops said.

Jefferies was charged with three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. She will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
