Drug Dealer Tried To Flee Arrest, Crashed Into Cop Car: Nassau PD
Police say an investigation into a fatal overdose led them to the Suffolk County man, who had heroin in his car when he was arrested.

EAST MEADOW, NY — A Suffolk County man was arrested on Christmas after Nassau County police say an investigation into an overdose led to him.
According to police, detectives were investigating a fatal overdose that occurred in East Meadow. The investigation led them to Sean Crombie, 33, of Copiague, who was also in East Meadow at the time, police said.
Police say that as detectives tried to place him under arrest, Crombie tried to flee. He got into his car and sped off, but crashed into a police car, police said.

After the crash, detectives were able to place him under arrest, police said.
Police said the detectives found 80 wax envelopes in Crombie's car, all of which are believed to contain heroin.

Crombie was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, reckless driving, resisting arrest and second-degree criminal mischief. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today in First District Court in Hempstead.
