East Meadow Family Falls Ill From High Levels Of Carbon Monoxide: Cops

Nine residents were taken to the hospital for treatment as the home did not have a working carbon monoxide detector, authorities said.

EAST MEADOW, NY — Several people were taken to a hospital Monday night due to high levels of carbon monoxide in their East Meadow home, authorities said.

Officers responded to a home on Buchanan Road and assisted nine injured residents, just before 9:30 p.m.

The East Meadow Fire Department transported the residents to a local hospital for treatment and observation.
