East Meadow Heads Back to School

As the summer season officially came to an end, students of the East Meadow School District returned to their schools to begin the 2016-2017 academic year.

On Tuesday, administrators and teachers of all nine schools welcomed their students with enthusiasm for another successful school year. Toting backpacks filled with school supplies, students arrived smiling and eager to learn with their classmates.

In addition, the district’s incoming kindergartners and their families attended orientations, where it was discussed how children will transition into their new surroundings. The children also received building and classroom tours to become familiar with their new schools.
