East Meadow High Schooler Honored With District Attorney's Award
A senior at East Meadow High School has been honored for his character, commitment to self-growth and effort to bring positive change.

EAST MEADOW, NY — A senior at East Meadow High School has been honored for his character, commitment to improving himself and efforts to bring positive change to the community. Matt Pienkowski received the Nassau County District Attorney’s SHIELD Award on July 9, the district announced Monday.
SHIELD stands for service, honesty, integrity, excellence, leadership and duty. Pienkowski got the chance to meet District Attorney Madeline Singas at the ceremony to receive the award.
“Our youth are our future and it is my pleasure to honor them,” said District Attorney Singas.
