East Meadow Kiwanis Donates to NC Firefighters Burn Center

East Meadow Kiwanis continues its philanthropic endeavors with a $500 donation to the Nassau County Firefighters Burn Center Foundation.

Kiwanis president Debbie Kirsh presented the check to Nelson Finkelman, a foundation director.

The Nassau County Firefighters Burn Center, which is located at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, is a $6.7 million, 12,000-square-foot treatment facility that can treat as many as 10 patients at one time. The facility provides a four-bed critical care unit and a six-bed unit for acute care.
