Charlotte Rogan, author of The Lifeboat, will talk about her book at the East Meadow Public Library on May 18 at 12:30 p.m.
The Lifeboat chronicles the story of Grace and her husband, Henry, on a beautiful ocean liner crossing the Atlantic in the summer of 1914. When the ship has a mysterious explosion, Henry gets Grace a seat on one of the lifeboats. Passengers realize the lifeboats are over capacity and that some will die.
