Gun, Drugs Found During Uniondale Traffic Stop: Police
Officers recovered the unloaded firearm and what they believe is crack cocaine, police say.

UNIONDALE, NY — A man was arrested after he was found to have a gun and drugs in a car during a traffic stop in Uniondale on Wednesday morning, Nassau police said.
Officers on patrol saw a green 2000 four-door Honda Civic with no rear bumper and inoperable tail lights traveling west on Hempstead Turnpike around 3:05 a.m., police said. Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens and pulled over Christopher Green, 51, of Hempstead, police said.
Officers found what they believe is crack cocaine and arrested Green without incident, police said. An unloaded firearm was found inside the Honda, police said.

Green was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm, fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and multiple vehicle traffic infractions.
His arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
