Gun Fired In Nassau, 2 Arrested: Police
A man took a gun out of hit pocket and fired it into the air before fleeing, police say.

UNIONDALE, NY — Two were arrested in connection with gunshots fired in Uniondale on Sunday, Nassau police said.
Officers responded to a call for shots fired on Hill Street around 2:15 p.m., police said. Officers received a description of a teenage girl who was with a man that removed a gun from his pocket and fired it into the air before fleeing the scene, police said.
Officers found the man and girl in front of 32 E. Greenwich Ave., Roosevelt, police said. Rashawn Jackson, 23, of Lakeview, and a female teenager, 17, were arrested without further incident, police said.

Officers recovered a Hi-Point 9mm handgun, police said.

Jackson was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment.

The teenage girl was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
They were scheduled to be arraigned on Monday at First District Court, at 99 Main St., Hempstead.
