WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY — A Bellmore woman was arrested in connection with a grand larceny that occurred earlier this month in West Hempstead, police said. Nassau County police said a 60-year-old home health aide was captured on home surveillance video removing a locked black box containing money. The 95-year-old's son later became aware of the incident and contacted police, NCPD said. Upon investigation, Madeline Barranco was arrested and has been charged with third-degree grand larceny, police said. She was arraigned on Thursday, July 23, at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
