Man Accused Of Raping Girl, 11, In Nassau: Police
The man faces rape and criminal sexual act charges, police say.

WESTBURY, NY — A Baldwin man was accused of sexually assaulting a girl, 11, on Feb. 26 in Westbury, Nassau police said.
Stephen Vickers-Griffiths, 35, was arrested at the Pines Motor Lodge in Westbury and arraigned on Feb. 27 on charges of one count of first-degree rape, two counts first-degree criminal sexual act, one count of first-degree attempted criminal sexual act, and endangering the welfare of a child, police said. He was placed into custody without incident, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
"Detectives are requesting anyone who may have been victimized by the above defendant to contact the Special Victims Squad Detectives at 516-573-4022 or Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS," the department stated. "All callers will remain anonymous."
