Man Dies In Morning Crash In Nassau County

Police say the man's car crossed into opposing traffic and struck a tree.

A Queens man died Monday morning after a car crash in East Meadow.

According to police, Kenneth Moultrie, 62, of Astoria, was driving a 2011 Ford north on Carman Avenue when he crossed over into the southbound traffic lanes and struck a tree head-on.

Emergency Services responded and, with the help of police, pulled Moultrie from the car. He had suffered severe body trauma and was taken to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead a short time later by doctors.
