Man Holds Up Nassau 7-Eleven With a Shotgun

BREAKING: He stole cash and cigarettes before fleeing, police say.

Police are searching for a man who held up a 7-Eleven with a shotgun early Monday morning.

According to detectives, a man approached a cashier inside the 7-Eleven located at 1275 Front St. in Uniondale at 3:49 a.m. and demanded cash from the register while threatening the cashier with a shotgun. After getting the money, the robber fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash and two packs of cigarettes, heading west on Front Street. There were no injuries.

The robber is described as black man, 6-foot-1, 180 to 200 pounds, with thin build wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, a burgundy shirt, gray jeans with a horseshoe logo on the pocket and a white glove.
