Man Throws Brick Into More 2 Dozen Vehicles: Police

EAST MEADOW, NY — A man was arrested on Thursday morning for throwing objects at several car windows.

Tejinder Singh, 28, of East Meadow, was placed in custody without incident, police said.

A witness had alerted officers that Singh was walking northbound on East Meadow Avenue throwing a brick through car windows, police said.

An investigation revealed that Singh damaged 25 vehicles and was responsible for similar activity on Aug. 1 and Aug. 2, where one car was damaged each day, detectives said.

He was charged with second-degree criminal mischief and 27 counts of third-degree criminal mischief. He was scheduled for arraignment on Friday in Hempstead.
