Would-Be Hotel Robber Arrested: Police
Police say the man wrote a message demanding money on his phone, but left when the clerk told him she didn't have any.

UPDATE: Police say they have arrested Sunil Joseph, 40, of Little Neck Parkway, Glen Oaks, for attempting to rob the Long Island Marriott.
Joseph is charged with third-degree robbery (attempt). He will be arraigned on Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
ORIGINAL STORY: Nassau police are looking for a man who tried (and failed) to rob the Long Island Marriott with a cellphone early Wednesday morning.

According to police, the man entered the hotel, located at 101 James Doolittle Blvd. in Uniondale, at 3:50 a.m. and approached the front desk clerk. He showed her his cellphone, which had the message, "Give me your money; I want your money," written multiple times.
The clerk told the man that the front desk had no cash, and he then left the hotel. He got into a green late 1990s model Honda Civic hatchback and fled the scene.

Police say the man was wearing a hooded sweatshirt with "GAP" written across the chest.
