Man Tried To Lure Nassau Teen Into His Car
The girl was waiting for her school bus when the man approached her. He fled when she refused to get into his car.
EAST MEADOW, NY — A man tried to lure a teenager into his car in East Meadow yesterday, and police are warning the public to be on the lookout.
According to police, a 15-year-old girl was waiting for her school bus on Carman Avenue near Nottingham Road at 6:45 a.m. when she was approached by a man driving a gray SUV. The man tried to get the girl to come into his car, and said a relative had sent him. The girl refused, and the man drove off north on Carman Avenue.
The man was white, in his 50s, with dark gray hair parted down the middle, bushy eyebrows and a gray trimmed beard and mustache.
