Motorcyclist In Critical Condition After Crash In Nassau
Police say he hit a Jeep that was stopped at a red light and was thrown from his motorcycle.

A motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday night after he collided with a car stopped at a red light in East Meadow.
According to police, a 23-year-old woman driving a 2014 Jeep was stopped at a red light on Park Boulevard at Hempstead Turnpike just before 10:30 p.m. Friday. A 28-year-old man driving a Suzuki motorcycle at a high rate of speed hit the Jeep from behind.
Police say the motorcyclist was ejected from his motorcycle and hit his head on the pavement, causing severe trauma. He was taken to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

The Jeep driver was not injured. The motorcycle was impounded for a break and safety check. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
