Nassau Coliseum Donates Food To Local Charity
The leftover food from Elton John's recent concert went to feed people at a soup kitchen in Wyandanch.

The Nassau Coliseum teamed up with national charity to donate unused meals from a recent Elton John concert to a soup kitchen in Wyandanch.
The Coliseum worked with Musically Fed, a non-profit based in Pheonix, to donate the unused backstage meals from Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road concert, which were donated to Mercy Soup Kitchen in Wyandanch.
Musically Fed works with artists, promoters, management and venues to donate unused backstage meals to community organizations that feed the homeless, hungry and food insecure. The non-profit then coordinates all aspects of food pick-up, transport and drop-off.

“The mission of Musically Fed is important, and we were so thrilled to work with their team to execute on this opportunity,” said Nick Vaerewyck, SVP, Programming and Business Operations at the Coliseum. “We would love to continue to help feed Long Islanders by donating unused food from catering and have begun to explore some opportunities.”
