Nassau Officers Help Deliver Baby Boy
The expectant mother didn't have time to get to the hospital before baby Noah decided to join the world.

WESTBURY, NY — A new Nassau County resident was so eager to join the world that he didn't give his mother time to get to the hospital. Luckily, Nassau County police officers were able to help her safely deliver her baby.
Officers Borchers and Stewart were called to a home on College Lane in Westbury at 8:17 a.m. Friday for a woman in labor, whose contractions were one minute apart. When the officers arrived, they helped 30-year-old Tamara Gaffney, of New Cassel, deliver her baby.
At 8:33 a.m., baby Noah was born. A short time later, mother and baby were both taken to Nassau University Medical Center for evaluation, and are doing well.
