Nassau Woman Spent Money Accidentally Sent to Her Bank Account: Police
The 29-year-old is charged with grand larceny.

A West Hempstead woman is charged with grand larceny after police say she spent a portion of $150,000 in wire transfers that were accidentally sent to her bank account.
Vanessa Sanon, 29, was arrested Thursday afternoon in New Hyde Park, Nassau Police said.
Accordiing to police, Sanon received wire transfers totaling $150,000 into her HSBC bank account on Jan. 8 from the Bank of China.

The wire transfers were sent in error, but Sanon began withdrawing cash and making purchases using her HSBC account, which caused the bank to sustain a loss of over $29,000, police said.
Sanon will be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
