He's only seven years old, but he's already saving lives. David Chavez, a third grade student at Stokes Elementary School, has been credited for saving his grandfather's life because of his quick thinking. Chavez and his grandfather, Frank Morales, were home alone when Morales, a diabetic, passed out from low blood sugar. Click here for more.

Dad: Disabled Student Went Missing from School

A Plainedge Middle School student was able to walk out of school undetected  Wednesday, and was found outside the building after Nassau police were notified, school officials said. The student who went missing, Paul Parisi, is a severely autistic 10-year-old boy, his father Anthony said. Click here for more.

Maui Wowi to Have Official Opening

The Wantagh area can  officially say Aloha to Maui Wowi. The Hawaiian smoothie franchise recently opened its doors, and held a ribbon cutting. They will celebrate their official opening Saturday.
