Police: East Meadow Man Outside His Home Robbed, Attacked by Men With Machete

An East Meadow man returning to his Carol Road home Thursday night was attacked and robbed three men, police said.

According to police, a 54-year-old man was approached by three men wearing dark clothing and hooded sweatshirts pulled over their faces shortly after 11:30 p.m. One of the suspects was holding a machete and demanded money from the victim, police said.

A struggle ensued and the three men fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash and the victim’s keys, police said. The victim suffered a small laceration to his finger. No arrests have been made.
