Powerball Ticket Worth $50,000 Sold on Long Island, Store Location Revealed
Just one more number, and one Long Islander would have claimed a share of a $487 million jackpot.

One Long Islander was just a number away from claiming a share of a $487 million Powerball jackpot on Saturday, but he or she will still take home a not-too-shabby $50,000 (that is before Uncle Sam gets his cut).
There were 13 third-prize-winning tickets sold for the July 30 drawing in New York, including a ticket sold at Tudor Buy Rite located at 794 Elmont Road in Elmont, a New York Lottery official told Patch Monday.
One jackpot-winning ticket was sold in New Hampshire, resetting the jackpot to $40 million for this Wednesday's drawing.
