Second Arrest Made In MS-13 Killing Of Nassau Man

The man's body was found buried in a sump near Kellenberg High School in August.

Police have arrested a second man in connection with the brutal murder of a Nassau man whose body was found buried in a sump late last month.

Police arrested Jose Quintanilla Cruz, 23, of Clarendon Road, Hempstead, in connection with the murder of Carlos Rivas-Majano, 21, of Uniondale. He was killed by MS-13 gang members last August, police say.

A tip led police to Ribas-Majano's body in late August. He was found buried in a sump in East Meadow, near Kellenberg Memorial High School. His body was found in an area covered in thick bramble, and investigators had to work in sweltering heat to search the location.
